At the May 2, 2013, meeting Barry Lively offered this Photoshop "recipe" for making a versatile watermark:

  • Create a small file – 300 X 100
  • Set foreground color to black
  • Select Type Tool and set the font and size
  • Type your watermark
  • Copyright for Windows – Alt + 0169
  • Copyright for Mac – Option + G
  • Go to Add a Layer Style
  • Select Stroke (1 or 2 px), set color to white
  • Click OK
  • Turn off the Background Layer
  • With the Move Tool, move the text layer to where you want it on an image.
  • Scale the text according to need.
