Photo Venture First Friday Show at M10 Studio

Members of Photo Venture Camera Club are invited to submit an image for the First Friday gallery opening at M10 Studio on April 4, 2014. The prints must be matted and framed, ready to hang, and if possible delivered to the studio on the evening of Tuesday, April 1. We can accommodate about 20, perhaps 25, images.

The images will be on display that evening and throughout the month of April. We usually open the gallery to visitors on the afternoon of the third Saturday of the month, and viewings can also be arranged by appointment.

Content: There is no theme or guideline for the show, so the image can be on pretty much any topic that would meet Photo Venture's competition requirements, in color or monochrome.

Sizes and framing: In order to have a consistent look, it would be nice if everyone would use a simple black frame. There are no size requirements, except please no frames larger than 26 inches on the long side. A good rule of thumb would be the 16 x 20 inch requirement for the Indiana State Fair competition, with the addition of framing.

Selling: This is a gallery show and you can have your prints for sale or not. M10 Studio does receive a 30% commission on all images sold at First Friday shows.

What to do: If you plan to participate, send an email to Eric Schoch at eric.schoch@gmail.com with the name of the image, the sale price or NSF if it's not for sale, and the size you expect the framed piece to be. You can include digital version of the image if you like, though it's not necessary. If you have questions also send them to Eric Schoch.

We will hang the images on Tuesday, April 1, starting at 6 p.m. at M10 Studio, 1125 Brookside Ave. If you cannot be there that evening but want to be included, contact Eric Schoch to try to make other delivery arrangements. But it will be best if people bring their work by themselves that evening if at all possible.
