For the October field trip the Photo Venture Camera Club will be joining up with the Prairie A's Antique Ford Club for their annual mystery tour through the Illinois countryside.

The tour will start in Urbana, IL at 9:30 AM (Central time).  We will meet up with the car club in the Farm & Fleet parking lot in Urbana - 2701 North Cunningham Avenue, Urbana, IL 61802.  There will be several stops at interesting sites including lunch.  The convoy will return around 4:00-4:30.

Those who want to carpool can meet at 8:00 at the Speedway Shopping Center, 6020 Crawfordsville Rd just north of the Goodyear Tire Center on the west end of the parking lot.

The logistics of how we embed with the old cars will be determined on the spot based on how many photographers show up for the tour. If you plan to go, email an RSVP to karl@zemlinphoto.com so he can work on options ahead of time - a response isn't necessary to attend, but it would be helpful so we can get a feel for the camera-to-car ratio.

Since it will be nearing dinner time (eastern time) when we'll be heading back, Karl says that he plans to dine at Lil' Porgie's BBQ in Urbana before driving home.  Says Karl: "I grew up in Champaign and Lil' Porgie's is the best BBQ I have encountered anywhere.  It's rare that I get to Champaign without a visit to Porgie's."
