Martin Smith-Rodden, PhD, assistant professor of journalism at Ball State University, will discuss "Advocacy in Photojournalism." Smith-Rodden, who is coordinator of the photojournalism sequence at Ball State, worked as a photojournalist at the Norfolk (Va.) Virginian-Pilot, winning multiple awards including Newspaper Photo Editor of the Year in 2011 from the National Press Photographer's Association.
