Our team is actively assessing the impact of the flooding and closely monitoring conditions across the property. The safety of our guests, staff, volunteers, and the animals in our care remains our highest priority. As we respond to the impact here at Conner Prairie, our thoughts are also with our neighbors in the surrounding community and families throughout Hamilton County who have been affected by this historic flooding.
Morning events:
Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, 7– 9:30 a.m.:
Join us at dawn to cheer on your favorite balloons as pilots fill the sky in exciting competitions, with a grand champion announced after Sunday's final race! Throughout the morning, enjoy family-friendly activities and picturesque moments. Stick around as we open early at 9:30 a.m. for normal museum hours.
Gates typically open at 7 a.m. to allow time to get a good view of the competitions.
Balloons begin taking flight around 7:30 a.m.
Watch hot air balloons fly in over Conner Prairie from a distance. Pilots will navigate low and slow across the festival grounds, aiming to drop a marker on a designated target as they compete in a Fly on Target race. Some balloons will take off from Conner Prairie before the flight competitions begin.
